I hate when you meet someone…

and then you part suddenly without any way of finding each other again, because your friends wanted to go home, bless them…

My first session with Dennis at Dark Water Tattoos in Bridgeview, IL.
When I was a little girl, I loved The Wizard of Oz so much I used to make people call me Dorothy, named my dog stuffed animal Toto, and ruined my VHS of the movie because we watched to too many times.

Some ‘great’ rom-coms

Jerry Maguire.

That is all. Does that even count?

Oh, One Fine Day too - I watched it every day for a week……can’t put my finger on why exactly……

OH Four Weddings and a Funeral? Moonstruck? Swingers? Too good to be ‘rom-coms’?

I think I prefer the old romantic drama - or I can think of more of them anyway.

The Notebook, The English Patient, The Painted Veil, Untamed Heart, Frankie and Johnny, A Single Man, um……to be continued.

She’s All That - although according to my colour-coding-by-genre that falls under ‘coming-of-age/family’. And so does Juno.

Does rom-com just mean light-hearted romance? I’m a sucker for Keeping the Faith too - it works, in a way.

Pretty Woman, obv. Never Been Kissed, ahhhhh. I really liked ‘Love and Other Drugs’, but light-hearted it certainly ain’t. Knocked Up - that definitely counts! As Good As It Gets, fo shiz. Sweet Home Alabama is definitely…sweet. THE PROPOSAL! Sorry. Ryan Reynolds can do no wrong.

When Harry Met Sally, of course, While You Were Sleeping - adorable, Bridget Jones’ Diary, err……

I quite liked Music and Lyrics. Enough to see it 4 or 5 times……and now I’m embarrassed. Sex and the City 1 = fine, but 2 was just OFFENSIVE!! Really badly!!

Best of recent times - He’s Just Not That Into You, imho…… Away We Go is another that’s almost TOO good. And Bridesmaids totally rocks.

Oh, Bring It On is a classic!

Working on my own design for a slouchy cabled beanie inspired by one I saw in All Saints last winter. It’s definitely a work in progress!! My notes so far…

Just saw this, sob, amazing.

This is one of the most beautiful tattoos I’ve ever seen… the mermaid, the ship, the creatures, the quote… I love it. Says the Navy:
“Fair Winds and Following Seas” is really two quotes originating from different sources. The two quotes are a nautical phrase of good luck — a blessing as it were — as the person, group, or thing it is said to departs on a voyage in life.

Remember playing this tape everywhere I went and dancing around to it. Had some good moves too :)

This is still so amazing I can’t stand it.
